Boston Urban Salon

What is the Boston Urban Salon?

The Boston Urban Salon (BUS) is a Boston-based urban seminar series co-organized by urban experts from different Boston universities and colleges. It is aimed at urban scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and others interested in cities, not just Boston but also cities worldwide.

The seminars are informal and open; they can take any format, with relatively short presentations on urban experiences supporting circulated or visual material and plenty of time for discussion. We want to allow the diversity of urban experiences in different contexts to inform thinking about cities; we hope that narratives taken for granted in one context will be disturbed and disrupted by experiences in other places.
